The Best of Company

This could be the last picture of Paige Marie in this Snow White costume….she won’t fit into it by Halloween she is growing so fast. When I look at her hands and feet I am reminded of gauging how big a puppy is going to grow…using that measure…Paige will easily grow into a 6’ tall Amazon.

I traveled through Vancouver and the Lower Mainland to Hope last weekend to pick up Paige. She was an excellent companion for the return trip, we sang together to my Gift of Song drumming tape by Brooke Medicine Eagle. (No one but her has really enjoyed that tape as much as me) We visited and stayed with family and friends from beginning to end of the journey. My son and her Dad Jarod and his wife to-be Jeannette are officially marrying on Saturday September 8th. 4:00 pm, 2007. This will be their last hurrah as an unmarried childless couple and if the truth be told I am vicariously enjoying their hurrah. They have been a couple for eleven or twelve years in real time.

Grand Ma Bear has slipped away to type this post while Grand Pa Bear and Grand Baby Bear are eating the porridge that Grand Pa Bear has made.

Toledo’s nose is out of joint. It took lots of coaxing and promises that he was still our most special cat before he consented to join us for our regular woods walk. His sketchiness is testimony to how quiet we usually keep the house and how loud one happy, wiggly, talking, dancing, singing, laughing, three year old can be.

I started a blog page for Paige a while back and had thought to maintain it during her visit here…but now I see it’s likely I’ll be out of regular writing commission for a while. I’ll leave some picture posts; they stand well alone to tell a story.
