The Path of Healing the Heart of Our H-EART-H Begins Within

Our Prayer Shawl Weavings meditation this full moon evening of April has taught me, more precisely, deepened my feeling of how the path toward healing the Heart of our Earth begins within.

We’ve received guidance from Spider Woman to focus on communion, communication and community between North America and Africa. The silent meditation began with a gossamer thread leaving one continent to the land on the other. It struck me as simpler to nudge the two continents together with my minds eye, to lay the way they once lay cradled together. When the shores touched I felt the good and strong medicine of the African continent being drained away into the other continent. I felt that we need to acknowledge, honor and consciously incorporate that medicine into our daily lives as part of the healing process on the African continent itself. We can give back and close the door that was ripped opened and has continued to bleed the African magic. (Many expansionist countries (too many to name) in the last centuries appeared to be only draining Africa’s physical resources…my feeling in this meditation is that we were ignorant/skeptical of the real power that we were draining away.)

Spider walked into my vision of the cradled continents and led me onto the African continent. She introduced me to one of the many small creatures that represent an embodiment of the Divine for the First Peoples from around the world, this one the Preying Mantis of the Bushmen of the Kalahari. Spider Woman showed them sitting together at a council fire, sharing boney stories. Spider Woman and Preying Mantis gave me a feeling that they are waiting for us, holding space for mankind that we may pick up and carry ourselves as who We really are, magnificent and powerful Creators.

Then I saw people walking. I saw the lines of light we create and leave behind ourselves. I saw those lines of light creating webs. I saw that we can intend to heal a weaving around the world with every foot step we take. I felt that we need only be mindful of this ability for it to be effective.

So be it.
