Do You Know Her?

This bronze statue was put into Court's hands about thirty years ago with the request that he safeguard until the time the orignal owner, a fisherwoman on hard times, was able to return for it.

I've mentioned before that I've been hosting a Kundalini Trance Dance workshop in my home. I bring this picture and the question "do you know her" here because she carries a lot of energy of the dance and I'd like to know more about her, have you seen anything like her before?

What we think we know is that she was cast in France around 1910. Parts are missing, she was originally a lamp. I haven't turned anything up online yet...but my dial up is pretty slow...so I'll have to keep pecking at it.

Hello Anne,

Even though; I couldn't offer you a direct answer to your question, I will offer this:

Your words mentioning your 'Kundalini Trance Dance' reminds me of something during a previous moment when I went to visit a Reiki Healer about a couple of months ago and it was during my 'reading' she mentioned after I suggested something of certain visions I had been experiencing.

Laura, quickly recognized that for me I was attuned to what could be and I certainly feel is the Hindu Goddess Kali (she is representative) as the slayer of illusions and according to the book I have entitled:

"Kali" Slayer of Illusions by Sara Caldwell

which I have almost completed in reading mentions much of the goddess and Kundalini.

The book mentions and has a few pictures of other related goddesses and even though; I am not seeing any picture which looks like yours - I wonder if maybe your statue is representative of something of a Hindu Nature?

My thoughts when I first saw this picture and the words of Kundalini for me is a representation of slaying or breaking down veils and other fears (illusions) which is certainly a representation of what is incorporated in my soul name. Ahauchata w/ 'cha' being referring to chan the Maya god of death/endings:)

Love and Hugs:)
