Turn Inside...and Dive!

About two months ago I heard about and visited a Kundalini Dance workshop being hosted in Powell River by Davina Bailey. I was so smitten with the dance that I invited Davina to hold a weekly workshop in my home for the Woo Woo Club...which has been wonderful. Last week while sharing about the processing work that had come up for each of us Davina shared this piece she wrote when her daughter was born...and I asked if I could pass it on. Davina didn't have a title for the piece so I've called it...

TURN INSIDE...and DIVE!

i can hear and see
the victim in me
as i speak and express
my history
i flinch as the words roll out of me
do you see
and hear it too?
as i speak of others
my reflection shines true
my projections are clues
i stand tall now
and take responsibility
i strive now
for a new vocabulary
steady and ready
i watch for this character
i stand centered
and poised
to catch and examine her
to release and make space
for this new exploding ace
i trace a new circle
layering higher
from end
to beginning
i walk this high wire
this balancing act
my focus and priority
this internal process
so very extraordinary
i'm ready to learn
i yearn to see clear
to hear from inside here that soft guiding voice near the surface of choice that dear friend from that
place that is beyond space to you or me
i turn inside
and dive
dive
more deeply
riding waves
entering caves
exploring the light and the dark
this eternal maze
crazed
with doubt, with courage, with fear, with strength, with awe, with love, with tears
i hope and i pray for peace to be found
inside
and out
each world
scream and shout
STOP!
drop everything and stand still just for a minute
can you feel your heart beating
your breath breathing with it
to live beyond my control
to release myself to it
feel the connection to all
and rise up to greet it
this human race
it's a race that we're in
we need to redefine
or better yet
scrap that word
and put another one in
how about
human
human being
yah!that's it!
we're being human together
not that other racing bullshit
competing and pushing
and winner takes all
fuck that i say
and together lets fall
back
into being
human beings
that's all
FOLKS!
