After recognizing Spider Woman’s offer to act as guide and guardian to this years Vessels of Peace circle of service She began showing up almost everyday. I found a book called in part “Mending the Web”. I saw a spider, the size of a quarter walk across our altar at a woman’s Cedar Circle gathering. Little tiny spiders began dropping out of nowhere to dangle in my view scape even landing on my hand as I typed. Today after following an impulse to do a follow up phone call to an individual I had done an energy treatment for there was a spider sitting on the wall when I put the phone back into it’s cradle. Each and every time She shows up a sense of how sacred each and every tiny moment is comes to me and I am reminded to thank Spider Woman for the guidance.
A little poem called “Our Lady of Enlacement” by Susa Silvermarie was one of the jewels that turned up in the book “Mending the Web” that captures the essence of our awe inspiring guardian.
Our Lady of Enlacement
Every morning
you remake the net
so we can rise and
find the threads in place.
Lady of Enlacement,
without you our stories
could not entwine.
It’s you who web us.
You who sing us into weft.
Nothing can fall
From your cloth.
