Speaking of the Weather

Do people in your part of the world talk about the weather as much as we do here in Canada?

Thirty years ago a brave woman named Jane Roberts, with the assistance of her partner Robert Butts, channeled and authored many books from an entity named Seth. Seth taught ground breaking, consciousness raising ideas like “climate is affected by the health or disease of the population who reside within a given area.” This metaphysical truth has since been proven by our scientific communities, though the truth has been buried.

It came to me one day this spring when I was griping to myself about the cool Spring weather that the gardens didn’t seem to be the slightest bit slowed by the cool weather. They were blooming merrily along. Another realization followed that a cool Spring would work to slow or stop the ominous threat of flooding of homes and lands across the province. I also connected that if I knew ahead of time that a slight discomfort in my weather world would greatly improve the life of Oneness nearby, I would joyfully accept the discomfort. I see clearly through this experience how easy it is work more consciously with the weather. By taking complete responsibility for my thoughts and particularly feelings about the weather I am a living prayer dedicated to the good of the whole…weather is one manifestation of our power as Creators. War is another.

Dear Anne

in Wales/Britain we are literally FOREVER talking about the weather, in fact is a national "ice breaker" for the older ones on our island shores.

A weatherperson is a national icon here; i for one am forever watching the weather forcasts, never mind the news, the weather facinates me more.

i sometimes pore over the weather forcasts of different nations just for the facination of looking at all the charts and figures.

i've long realized that our thoughts/actions affect the weather and dislike the oft hedonistic views of sunshine as being good and rain and cloud and cold being depressing and boring;

This is evinced in the tone of voice of certain news presenters asking the weather forcaster what the latest weather news is with almost a pleading/pitiful tone of voice.

Love &laughs
John

Good morning John,

You make an excellent point about how our media polarize their presentation of the weather forecasts. With such emphasis as good sunshine and bad rain the impositions begin. As a society we could go a long way toward assuming responsibility for our role as Creators of weather by asking the media people to watch what they say, particularly the emotion they attach.

I'm like you, I'll avoid the news but watch a weather forecast. I too will pore over maps...weather maps are fascinating. Satellite photos of the planet and Her weather intrigue me without end.

Good to see you John...thanks for dropping by.

Oh yes, Anne the topic of weather, ranks tops just about with every one here, I know we conversed on it much with each other. Like the hail, the day we were on the phone together.

Even though; today was partly sunny, since I have been back, we have experienced a lot of rain! What a difference in the level of the rivers compared to the drought of the last couple of years!

Even though; they are saying this May is appearing to be on the top 5 of the coolest, since record keeping and rainfall has been far above the averages since last fall, and even though; the rivers/lakes are appearing stronger than I can ever recall, since I moved here, to completely return to "normal" levels, this trend needs to continue for at least 3 more months.

Most of the intense water restrictions are lifted however; there remains a few and continues heightened awareness to conservation, which I feel is always something that should remain in ones' awareness.

The leaves on the trees are the largest, I can recall and the growth and display of the flowers are the most vibrant I can recall, since moving here.

Sure as of late, to observe so many days of rain, and a large amount of all day rains, I find my level of energy maybe a bit down. However; I then will recall this time, last year, when the leaves, on the trees were small and the river beds, with water, flowing more like small streams. Also; the massive amounts of brush fires of last spring and summer.

In remembering the above, I then return a smile to my face as the rain continues to fall. That includes my travels to and from work or any place else; for that matter:)

At least; for the most part, the rain is falling at a pace which is calm enough, resulting in only a few isolated incidents of flooding and other related challenges.

As a matter of fact; so far the weather has been close to ideal for the crops, including food for livestock animals.

Early crops such as; lettuce and beans and the cooler crops that were planted in
March, are beginning to go into harvest now.

The only thing mentioned is the hopes of at least a normal temps. for the harvesting of sun loving crops that were planted in early/mid April such as; tomatoes, corn, melons, etc. by the time of first harvest which begins in early July.

The only downside to an all perfect harvest, at this point,is because of the unusal cold, in early April, some of the buds from the fruit trees, peaches, cherries were injured however; many were able to re-bloom later.

A completely different experience from this time, last year!

Blessing the Rain,
Tim
