I caught a beauty sunset photo last night from the ferry. I saw an eagles head silhouetted in the clouds, what do you see? On the drive home I spotted a small black bear…I doubt it was the same one who tore up the bird feeding station and then the black composter at the edge of the garden last night. No wonder Toledo has been so sketched out and waking us in the night. The bear was back while we ate breakfast so we’re going to have to move the composter. Bears are notorious for returning to anyplace they found a crumb to eat.
No sooner was the bear commotion sorted out than a pair of does we haven’t seen in months showed up. I’ve named the picture I got of them…Two Faces of Innocence. One of them is looking directly at us, the other is peeking out coyly, neither of them are taking the bad vibes we’re throwing at them seriously, not even after Court takes a sling shot out and hits one.

A spontaneous eruption of people gave us opportunity to barbeque some burgers and celebrate the day together. Our good friend Walter, of no fixed address because he lives aboard a 50 foot hand made aluminum sailboat has returned after a eight month voyage. His stories of sailing alone from La Paz at bottom of the Baja of California north to his home port of Lund would grey the average person’s hair in one season, he does it yearly and all the hair is gone. It’s always with a sigh of relief and a dose of excitement that I see Walter at the door.

Hello Anne!
That is a beautiful picture, love those sunsets!
It is interesting how we see the world around us! I can see your eagle, when I place myself into your perspective. Yet; the image I am seeing through my eyes, is that of a porpoise, swimming upside down, as if she is swimming, on the left side of your picture, into the darker section of the sky, toward that mountain on the far left.
Also interesting; just two evenings ago, while I was at work, Jake, a co-worker came running through the restaurant and with excitement in his voice called me to come and step outside for a moment, to look at the sunset. He and I ran through the restaurant, to the side door and the time, being the moment of sunset and after a day of rain, the sky appeared over the mountains, much like yours does in this picture. For as much time, I am at work as of late, it was wonderful for him to search through the restaurant, so we could share that moment! During these last few days, it was appreciated by me!
Love,
Tim
I admire your friend Walter. To create a "home" be it a boat and to flow through life, in order to experience! Talk about letting go and living!
It would be like my experiences, from my trip, just on a 24/7 adventure! Even though; I consider myself blessed in retaining my hair at my current age, I would trade it, for such an experience, as his!
Love,
Tim
