A Spiritual Conspiracy

On the surface of the world right now there is
war and violence and things seem dark.
But calmly and quietly, at the same time,
something else is happening underground
An inner revolution is taking place
and certain individuals are being called to a higher light.
It is a silent revolution.
From the inside out. From the ground up.
This is a Global operation.
A Spiritual Conspiracy.
There are sleeper cells in every nation on the planet.
You won't see us on the T.V.
You won't read about us in the newspaper
You won't hear about us on the radio
We don't seek any glory
We don't wear any uniform
We come in all shapes and sizes, colors and styles
Most of us work anonymously
We are quietly working behind the scenes
in every country and culture of the world
Cities big and small, mountains and valleys,
in farms and villages, tribes and remote islands
You could pass by one of us on the street
and not even notice
We go undercover
We remain behind the scenes
It is of no concern to us who takes the final credit
But simply that the work gets done
Occasionally we spot each other in the street
We give a quiet nod and continue on our way
During the day many of us pretend we have normal jobs
But behind the false storefront at night
is where the real work takes a place
Some call us the Conscious Army
We are slowly creating a new world
with the power of our minds and hearts
We follow, with passion and joy
Our orders come from the Central Spiritual Intelligence
We are dropping soft, secret love bombs when no one is looking
Poems ~ Hugs ~ Music ~ Photography ~ Movies ~ Kind words ~
Smiles ~ Meditation and prayer ~ Dance ~ Social activism ~ Websites
Blogs ~ Random acts of kindness...
We each express ourselves in our own unique ways
with our own unique gifts and talents
Be the change you want to see in the world
That is the motto that fills our hearts
We know it is the only way real transformation takes place
We know that quietly and humbly we have the
power of all the oceans combined
Our work is slow and meticulous
Like the formation of mountains
It is not even visible at first glance
And yet with it entire tectonic plates
shall be moved in the centuries to come
Love is the new religion of the 21st century
You don't have to be a highly educated person
Or have any exceptional knowledge to understand it
It comes from the intelligence of the heart
Embedded in the timeless evolutionary pulse of all human beings
Be the change you want to see in the world
Nobody else can do it for you
We are now recruiting
Perhaps you will join us
Or already have.
All are welcome
The door is open ~

Why the Resistance to Meditation?

Every spiritual teacher, from the IChing to living masters whose wisdom I have imbibed have counseled meditation. Those words always felt like an admonishment. When I began meditating on a daily basis it was with the help of the Vessels of Peace meditation circle. Over the years a meditative practice developed that I depended on. What I didn’t understand and questioned was the resistance to meditating that would show up, sometimes for months at a time, when it was time to meditate.

A string of events has brought what feels like an answer to my inquiry about some of the resistance. As I stood in a circle of locals gathered in front of the village store, I realized something had shifted in me. When a moment of silence descended on the conversation I remained silent and comfortable. For most of my life when a silence would open up, whether between two or twenty people, I would step into clown or entertainer mode to hide/deal with my anxiety. That ordinary moment became extraordinary, if only for me, when I noticed how comfortable I was with that silence.

This year I have been examining the discomfort and fear about being in silence myself, as well as in the company of quiet people. Today a window into the past opened as I wondered that took me back to childhood…where else? I was coming into the house after school. It was quiet, eerily so, and that quiet often meant an angry explosion was fermenting. I went into an eight year olds idea of crisis management and started being silly trying to get Mom to laugh. It worked once and a belief and habit for life was formed. That wasn’t the end or beginning of the forming of fear around silence, not by a long shot. I heard those lethal words, “be quiet”, ”sit still”, “shut up”, “children are meant to be seen and not heard”, and more all echoing down the timeline at once until I was the adult and they were coming out of my mouth. I remembered feeling sullen silence used as a weapon, a bad vibe between Mom and Dad. It is no wonder I felt I was being admonished when I was counseled to sit in silence and meditate. That statement was a trigger and the child in me would feel she was being told to go sit in the corner and be quiet and think about what she’d done. Silence as a punishment.

Last evening, after many concentrated hours of light body work I found myself energetically depleted. Options passed through my mind, go for a walk, take a hot tub, curl up with a book. It was my body that took me to my meditation spot. I followed, resistance free and loving it and returned with a sense of having been nourished and loved in the only way that truly serves, by myself the Mother.

May your New Moon intentions ride the waves of manifestation through this moon cycle!

"Alice" through the Solstice Window

This Week's Transmission . . .from Mary Nalini MacNab

'Alice' through the Solstice Window ~

Today's transmission comes from the alignment of the solstice window which we are now moving through, each in her own way.

"'Each in Her own way', is the theme for this week's transmission. As the energies of the solstice loom the largest they have seemd in your experience, you may find yourself in and out of body, one minute supremely focused inward, the next drawn into something that feels otherworldly, then dropped back 'in' to the physical body in a way that confounds and confuses... what was I doing? What was I in the middle of? What did the person(s) I am speaking with just say? What planet is this? What world?

This is the beginning of multiplicity in a way you have not imagined yourself to exist. The veils are not just thinning now, they are diffused, seemingly 'broken' and yet not. The NOW is present, the NOW of eternal creation, pure dreaming, pure navigation from the heart.

It is imperative, so very important, that you move from the heart in each and every moment. Listen and allow it to direct your every motion. Your every direction. For the heart IS the direction you must follow at this time. When faced with the moment by moment multiplicity of choosing, listen. Breathe into centre and allow your heart, as it is in alignment with My Heart at its core, to choose for you. It is your core, your essence, the Truth of your Beingness that must now step forward and choose, in each moment, in integrity and from strength.

It is time to respond, moment by moment, from the power that runs through you and to remember the choice for Love, as it unfolds from within and around you ~ in the certain knowingness that you remember ~ even as you know not what you do.

You are held in this time, this window of creative flow called 'opportunity'. Allow yourself to be in this held space, to flow along with this great tide of changing, and watch as all morphs from within."

'Mother made me; I am She; Let go, and flow along with me!'

A Story from the Queens Kingdom

Once upon a time the queen found herself under siege and no longer able to travel her kingdom freely. In a dream the queen learned that this taking away of her rights and powers would serve the highest good of all of life. In the dream she was shown a place of beauty, love and light that would be born of her unconditional love for all of life. The queen agreed. She knew in her heart that her real power lay within her being and could not be controlled through siege or threat of death.

Eventually it became clear to the queen that she would need servants to help her steer clear of the dangers that daily visited her door, if she was lucky enough to have one. The first servant she wove from the fibers of her being hemmed with tears. This servant she named Power and Power was sent into hiding. The next servant was named Pretend and the next Forget. Slowly as circumstances arose she wove loyal and loving servants to help her keep herself safe.

Decades flew by and the servants were inherited by the daughters when they discovered they were queens. Often the daughters had to create new servants so difficult was it for them to refuse the moontime call of their queen selves. And so the armies of servants grew through thousands of years of siege.

When the day dawned that the siege began letting up the Queen was in a quandary. She could feel herself being called by the dream to stand up and take back her kingdom. Yet the queen had forgotten about her servants so accustomed to their service had she become. So every time she stood to take her place a servant would stand in front of her to keep her safe. This would send her emotional body careening off the walls in showers of anger, frustration, self loathing and an often unnamed shame of self betrayal.

The less the queen loved herself the more she loved outside of herself. It took a mirror the Sacred Witness and a few good girlfriends to remind the queen that she had an army of servants that would need new marching orders in order for her to be able to re-inhabit her kingdom. And so it came to pass. With the discovery of the servants came the discovery of their loyal, loving lifetimes of service to her safety. She was deeply, deeply touched by this love. She held ceremony to honor these servants their vigilance and faithful service in her name. And the queen began calling each of her servants to the head office to be decommissioned. The servants the queen had inherited wouldn’t be budged from their tasks until they were satisfied that the queen was really safe. Others were assigned new tasks until they were convinced, and others required no more assurances and were absorbed back into the heart of the queen in the blink of an eye. At the time of this writing the queen is in continuing peace talks with the remains of her one time army of servants. Her kingdom is hers to live happily ever after in, or not.
I send much love and gratitude to Beate Ronnenfeldt for sharing her vision that inspired this short story

Just Pretending

Once upon a time an old soul, after much deliberation, decided to return to a physical vessel on Planet Earth. The old soul chose to come into a female vessel. Her name would be Gloria. So it came to pass and there was much joy at her birth. She was a beautiful well loved newborn child.

Days, weeks, months became years and she grew into a young girl. Gloria had the feeling that something wasn’t right in her world, she often had the feeling that life wasn’t supposed to be like this. On the inside she felt perfect and cared for but more and more on the outside things weren’t supposed to be like this. This was in fact painful, with some days more pain filled than others.

As a baby Gloria had heard and loved when her Mother crooned to her about how beautiful and perfect and loved she was. It came as quite a shock the first time Gloria was told she was a bad girl and that she should be a good girl. How could she be good when she was already perfect? Being told everyday that she was a bad girl didn’t convince Gloria that she was a bad girl. In the quiet, alone outside under a favorite tree, Gloria always knew and felt she was perfect and loved.

One day Gloria was caught red handed being her perfect and loved self when she was being punished for being her bad self. Thunder and lighting and screaming and yelling broke out. That was when she knew it would be helpful if she at least pretended some of the time that she was a bad girl and ashamed of herself. Gloria still knew on the inside that she was perfect and loved and she held that knowing close. On the outside, as much as she could, in order to keep herself safe, she pretended to be ashamed of herself, she pretended to be a bad girl.

More years fly by and with those years the knowing on the inside of being perfect and loved faded and withered until Gloria finally knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that she was less than perfect and undeserving of something as wondrous as love. She completely forgot she was just pretending.

More years, much painful separation from feeling the truth, sometimes more painful for knowing with the mind but still not able to feel with the heart the truth of being perfect and loved…and grief over something unknowable and unnamed that is lost. And yet and yet...

Through the years since the indoctrination in separation began, there were light filled moments. These moments glimmered like a firefly, making Gloria ask if she really saw what she saw. She knew she couldn't get any crazier than she already was so she decided to answer the call. Gloria yearned to play with that inner light. And play she did until every waking moment was taken with her yearning to play with what she now knew was her own light.

And as the light grew shadows emerged seeming to mask the light. Joy and grief, grief and joy, joy and grief. The light grew, the shadows came clearer and bone chilling deep down and dirty clearer. Joy grief joy grief joy grief! And yes, anger at having been betrayed from the inside out.

The day Gloria woke up to the fact she was pretending she remembered a cartoon quip she'd seen the day before...it went something like this:

A five year old child is being given an exercise in using your imagination by an elder. The child is told to pretend to be in a room full of ferocious lions who are going to bite you and then asked what she's going to do. The child answered, I'd stop pretending.

Mother Divine I know that You were here helping uncover this pretense. I know too Mother that You are helping me remember from this moment, forward and back through the timelines and dimensions that I am and have always been perfect and loved. My hands, feet, heart and soul yearn to serve to this message of Divine Love from the Mother. So be it.

A Pile of You

I haven't posted anything here yet this year...and I feel this piece by Jennifer Louden articulates exquistely what's up for most of us.

A Pile of You
by Jennifer Louden

It is time.

You are ready. This time, you mean it. For real.

You are ready. You are shedding, dismantling, unbuckling, discarding: identities, accolades, glories, web stats, even your most treasured bio.

Impressive, glittery, sacred: past.

Scars, wounds, failures, shames, dents: they must go, too.

You unbuckle the past slowly, swearing to yourself, softly, repeatedly, “I am ready, I can do this” even as bits of you cling to your fingers.

Disrobe, unwind, unburden.

A pile of you forms on the shore of your future.

The water of the unknown laps at your feet, caresses your toes. So clean, so promising. You are almost naked, almost emptied, almost ready.

Then a thought: wouldn’t it be a good idea to hold on to just one wafer thin bit of you?

After all, like the Egyptian Pharaohs, you will need things on the other side. Maybe not 10,000 nubile slaves or a clay jar with your preserved heart in it but it shouldn’t hurt to take just one, or maybe five, of your degrees with you? Certainly the Oprah appearance would be useful. And being the youngest person in your organization to ever run a division, don’t leave that. And your divorce and bad investments and the semi-abusive relationship - you aren’t really ready to let go of those.

It would be silly to leave all of you. You might get cold. You take back more slivers of your identity from the pile. You worked so hard for them. Especially the stories that gouge and pinch and humiliate.

You put a few bits of you back on. Now you’re ready to dive in, the water looks so fine.

What’s this? You can’t swim. You can’t even float. You are sinking.

Your toes touch the soft, silted bottom. You panic, claw at the water but no matter. You don’t move, can’t move: sunk.

You know what you have to do. If you are honest, it is only because you will drown that you do so, but to your credit, you do it (many would rather drown). You cast away all of who you have been, these last most special and hurtful flecks, remembering, at the last moment to say thank you.

Thank you for it all.”

You find — you have no idea how — you can breathe underwater now. (Maybe it was the thank you?) You can’t see very far in front of you, only a few feet, so you move slowly, as if in a dream. Come to think of it, maybe this is a dream and, any moment, you will wake up. You will be who you are, or were, or always thought you should be. You fantasize about how good that will feel, the known!, and then, shit!

You are smack, stuck, back on the bottom, in the gloom. Unable to move, although thankfully, still, able to breathe.

You sigh and watch the bubbles streak upwards. It seems that holding on to anything here does not serve.

You concentrate on the feeling of the water passing over your skin, on the cerulean blue patch right in front of you, on the rise and fall of your chest.

You take a tentative breaststroke forward. And then another.

Ten Ways for Elementals to Work With Humans

1. Do not prejudge all humans as bad but examine each human to find the good in them.
2. Having found the spark of good, breathe your energy into it to enlarge it.
3. When a human pays attention to a plant, tree or stone, tell him or her what the plant or tree would like in order to be healthier. Even if humans don’t hear the message consciously, they will receive it subconsciously.
4. When you see a human who is trying to help nature, cluster around that human and give them all the help you can. Often humans don’t think to ask you directly, but our higher selves ask this.

5. Play with humans so that they can recover their childlike joy and wonder. Many humans are depressed and need the joy elementals bring.
6. Give humans proof of your existence. Humans are more inclined to believe in elementals if you do this.
7. Appreciate the human strengths of forgiveness, love, persistence, and focus. By associating with humans, elementals will learn these qualities.
8. To (human) body elementals: don’t give up. Keep moving your human hosts into situations to catalyze positive change.
9. Don’t judge humans by elemental standards. Presently humans eat beings that live, excrete waste and age. Through this path we learn to be creators of form and worlds.

10. Surprise us.

Wearable Silk Art

A dear friend named Amber asked if I would model her batik silk scarves for some pictures. We met last week in a sunny patch of forest, near the woodpile, and Amber arranged scarves, took pictures and generally proved herself a versatile, way talented artist. I'm often not comfortable in front of a camera so I'm delighted to see that not only the scarves looking scrumptious, but I'm looking relaxed and very presentable. Thank you so much for the fun Amber, you can call me to model for your camera anytime!

If you see a scarf you like, send me an email and I'll pass it along to Amber.

A Day in the Garden with the Birds

I prepared the potato and onion beds for planting these last days. It was a great gift to find a couple of meals worth of potatoes that had over wintered in the ground perfectly. Today I found the last leeks in a tangle at the far corner of the onion bed. The sweet smell of soil, the hard crunch of rocks under the shovel and then bend to pull a few weeds and breathe out gratitude about this wonderful chore, I love these piles of dirt collected on bed rock. I’m as twitterpated as the birds I hear singing their hearts out about the wonder and joy, the glory of life around us.

Grateful I am for the sound of the male hummingbird announcing himself to the world as a suitor ready and able after he’s climbed straight into the air a hundred feet and more. I have to stop and watch as he goes straight up to arc and swoop down making his distinctive ta-da before doing it all again. What a show, I’m swooning and I wish him well with his own kind. A male red winged blackbird is sounding his arrival song at the bird feeder with his female close behind. A red bellied sap sucker is drumming his availability on the light stand above the garage; every female for miles around can hear him. The deep blue Stellars Jays are trying to chase the red winged blackbirds from the bird feeder with raucous caws that sound like crows. Something, probably the cats have disturbed the chipmunks in their mating escapades and they’re scolding can be heard in the distance. Grateful I am for this gentle natural soundscape.

I chose to focus today on the mantra I love and approve of myself. After a while of such it felt right to move into I love and approve of the whole world. After another while a note of doubt sounded…did I really love and approve of the whole world? That note did not feel right and I remember that most negative thinking stems from ego and I knew that ego was attempting to circumvent a loss of control. I returned to feeling into loving and approving of the whole world and felt how vital it is to hold to this mantra; this viewpoint of the world can and will recreate anything that doesn’t serve the good of the whole without violence, without fear.

Sometimes, in order to remain present and at peace with what is, I have to ask these two questions; am I coming from love around this or am I coming from fear. The easiest choice can be the one that feels good and works as well for the good of the whole.
Blessed be!

Divine Silence

"I honor and receive the inner stillness of Sige, Divine Silence."

Dear Vessels of Peace Community,

Welcome again, on this auspicious new moon, which is additionally energized by the solar eclipse today. Every new moon is about birthing, a time for planning and seeding your intentions. The dark side of the moon offers a nurturing environment where our intentions can establish roots before beginning to sprout. If you don't have a list of intentions for your life, you can make one now, and as each new moon comes around, you can modify and re-dedicate them.

This fits in beautifully with our intention this month to honor our inner stillness. Sige provides a nurturing environment to look at our intentions, so please enjoy the short Sige meditation below.

We are continuing to expand our coverage of other women's groups that may interest you, offering new ways for you to connect with other women in your work, so please peruse that section called “What Else is Happening in the World of Women?” We are weaving our web of love and peace as we connect around the world. Every person makes a difference!

Be a part of weaving that web! Who else do you know that would like to be a part of this weaving to create a better humanity and planet? Please help us get the word out by passing this newsletter on to your friends. Learn more about Vessels of Peace at http://www.vesselsofpeace.com.

In this issue you will find:

• Two Minute Meditation: Sige, Divine Silence guides us into our inner silence
• Why are we engaged in the service of meditation?
• What else is happening in the world of women?

TWO MINUTE MEDITATION…SIGE

"I honor and receive the inner stillness of Sige, Divine Silence."
Sige is the Goddess without words for She was here before words. She is the silence that was here before the Beginning. Sige is like the inside of the cocoon wherein lie all the mysteries of the butterfly. Allow yourself to go into that space -- the space between the stars and the planets -- the place that opens itself to movement. She is The Holding -- The Vessel. She is Inner Peace. Allow Sige's blessing to soak into your heart:

"May you be still, and know that you are Divine."**
** This blessing was taken from the book The 11 Intentions. Visit our website for more information on the book. http://www.vesselsofpeace.com

WHY ARE WE ENGAGED IN THE WORK OF MEDITATION?

The Core Circle and Anne Cressy (meditation facilitator) recently explored why we engage in our Sunday night Prayer Shawl Weaving meditations, and it feels important to share these insights with you.

Some key words and phrases that came forth from our hearts were: Service ... privilege … commitment … collective practice … subtle activism … the power of the circle to cause transformation … making a difference … how the "small" impacts the destiny of this earth … guardians of peace consciousness … power and beauty … a sense of love and peace.

Each of these words and phrases could be explored in depth and we may do that in future issues, but for now I’d like to share these thoughts: -- Sige asks us to engage in silence, stillness and inner peace. -- As Vessels of Peace we are engaged in service to “humanity, divinity and the earth.” -- Engaging in ANYTHING is how we become effective. This engagement can be subtle (like meditation) or active (like doing something actively in the community). -- Engaging with a circle of women is a powerful way to transform the world.

How are you engaging in your service to humanity, the earth and the Divine Feminine? Could meditation be one of those ways?

If so, please join us any Sunday evening at 8 pm Eastern Time as we weave our web of connection, creating peace. Details below.

SHARING FROM A RECENT MEDITATION EXPERIENCE.....by Oia

I was clearly guided to carry the Darshan of Peace to Hawaii, where I encountered Grandmother Spider, a large black and yellow presence, in the center of a sparkling new web which had caught many droplets of dew looking like so many diamonds attached to the webbing. She spoke these words to me: "Weave anew. Weave EMPOWERMENT for all creation. Trust the wisdom of the old ways; trust the pure golden light of the new."

I came out of the meditation reflecting on these words from the Buddhist Prayer for Peace: May the frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free. May the powerless find power, and may people think of befriending one another.

COMING UP: SPECIAL MEDITATION WITH THE GRANDMOTHERS

On Sunday, August 17, our meditation will include a special “Grandmothers Empowerment” facilitated by our special guest Sharon McErlane, founder of "The Grandmothers." Learn more at www.grandmothersspeak.com.

Recently our meditation facilitator, Anne Cressy, experienced the Empowerment and wrote this:

“As I imaged the shawl of empowerment floating into place over my head, the tears of grief that this has taken so long and joy that I have arrived started slowly trickling in. Along with this paradoxical set of emotions washing over me came the voice of my guide Grandmother Spider telling me she’s been waiting for my permission…and she wrapped me in an eight legged hug. I am enfolded in Her love and grinning ear to ear. When Sharon began singing the Grandmothers’ love for me, their promise to always be there rang sweet and strong through her words. As a grandmother I knew immediately the deep truth of their words… I too know only pleasure that my grandchildren need me…I too would answer their calls anytime, anywhere.” ~~~Anne Cressy

Summer Solstice - Peace in the Water

Prayerful intention for ‘Peace in the Water’, June 20th, 2008.

I close my eyes and Breathe,
Breathe In and Breathe out,
Conscious Breaths filled with my intentions of Peace.

I open my eyes this day and remember that Peace is my choice and my gift.

I send my Hearts deepest Gratitude to the Waters of our planet.
I intend now that all the waters of our planet are healed, clear of any disharmony and vibrating in the highest frequency of Peace and Oneness.
I intend that all creatures of the Water are safe and being honored by our tribe known as Humanity.

I see the whales, the dolphins and all creatures of the Ocean swimming freely, in clear pure oceans. I honor our Sisters and Brothers of the Seas and remember that they are a part of our Earth family, our global tribe.

I am grateful that all Humans awaken to the interconnectedness of life and now act from a place of honoring all life.

I fill myself with Gratitude and send this vibrational song into the waters of our planet, into the Oceans and to all of life that lives within the Water.

I remember that I am a creator and I choose this day to create Peace in the Water.

I close my eyes and Breathe,
Breathe In and Breathe out,
Conscious Breaths filled with my intentions of Peace.

I am Grateful that there is now Peace in the Water.

So Be It.

Share Your Joy

Two nights ago I found myself enthralled and joyous at the sound of robins singing their robust end of day songs, quite enjoying what would ordinarily be an ordinary sound because I was listening to them in Wisconsin through a teleconference phone line. I felt a moment of trepidation when I realized that I had almost forgotten to ask Mother God the question that was the purpose of this meditation. I remembered I wanted to ask Mother God what I could do to help Her/Us. She assured me with the gentleness of the scent of wisteria on the evening air, that my joy in the robin song was Her joy. She asked only that we share our joy in Her Creations with Her.

How sweet, simple and easy is that?

Turn Inside...and Dive!

About two months ago I heard about and visited a Kundalini Dance workshop being hosted in Powell River by Davina Bailey. I was so smitten with the dance that I invited Davina to hold a weekly workshop in my home for the Woo Woo Club...which has been wonderful. Last week while sharing about the processing work that had come up for each of us Davina shared this piece she wrote when her daughter was born...and I asked if I could pass it on. Davina didn't have a title for the piece so I've called it...

TURN INSIDE...and DIVE!

i can hear and see
the victim in me
as i speak and express
my history
i flinch as the words roll out of me
do you see
and hear it too?
as i speak of others
my reflection shines true
my projections are clues
i stand tall now
and take responsibility
i strive now
for a new vocabulary
steady and ready
i watch for this character
i stand centered
and poised
to catch and examine her
to release and make space
for this new exploding ace
i trace a new circle
layering higher
from end
to beginning
i walk this high wire
this balancing act
my focus and priority
this internal process
so very extraordinary
i'm ready to learn
i yearn to see clear
to hear from inside here that soft guiding voice near the surface of choice that dear friend from that
place that is beyond space to you or me
i turn inside
and dive
dive
more deeply
riding waves
entering caves
exploring the light and the dark
this eternal maze
crazed
with doubt, with courage, with fear, with strength, with awe, with love, with tears
i hope and i pray for peace to be found
inside
and out
each world
scream and shout
STOP!
drop everything and stand still just for a minute
can you feel your heart beating
your breath breathing with it
to live beyond my control
to release myself to it
feel the connection to all
and rise up to greet it
this human race
it's a race that we're in
we need to redefine
or better yet
scrap that word
and put another one in
how about
human
human being
yah!that's it!
we're being human together
not that other racing bullshit
competing and pushing
and winner takes all
fuck that i say
and together lets fall
back
into being
human beings
that's all
FOLKS!

Giant Spider Web Story from Texas

Entomologists from around the world are very excited about a unique spider web that looks like something out of a movie. The web is so large that it covers a good number of trees and surrounding plants at Lake Tawokoni State Park.

The magnificent picture of the giant spider web below was taken by the Donna Garde, superintendent of the state park. Walking upon this site may scare many, and it’s reported that some visitors actually fear that their small dogs may be webbed and consumed ‘nothing could be further from the truth!’ In fact, it is one of the best bug free areas in the park acting as a giant mosquito net.
Although no one has given a definitive answer, many spider experts conclude that the ’stretch spiders’ are working together to form the massive web. Some say these webs happen every few years while others say it is a rarity.

Stretch Spiders, or Tetragnatha, are found all over the world, although most occur in the tropics and subtropics. They obtain their name from the ability to stretch out and hide on a stick or blade of grass when in danger. These spiders are commonly found close to water and compose large webs. In the case of above, these spiders appear to be working together.

The Path of Healing the Heart of Our H-EART-H Begins Within

Our Prayer Shawl Weavings meditation this full moon evening of April has taught me, more precisely, deepened my feeling of how the path toward healing the Heart of our Earth begins within.

We’ve received guidance from Spider Woman to focus on communion, communication and community between North America and Africa. The silent meditation began with a gossamer thread leaving one continent to the land on the other. It struck me as simpler to nudge the two continents together with my minds eye, to lay the way they once lay cradled together. When the shores touched I felt the good and strong medicine of the African continent being drained away into the other continent. I felt that we need to acknowledge, honor and consciously incorporate that medicine into our daily lives as part of the healing process on the African continent itself. We can give back and close the door that was ripped opened and has continued to bleed the African magic. (Many expansionist countries (too many to name) in the last centuries appeared to be only draining Africa’s physical resources…my feeling in this meditation is that we were ignorant/skeptical of the real power that we were draining away.)

Spider walked into my vision of the cradled continents and led me onto the African continent. She introduced me to one of the many small creatures that represent an embodiment of the Divine for the First Peoples from around the world, this one the Preying Mantis of the Bushmen of the Kalahari. Spider Woman showed them sitting together at a council fire, sharing boney stories. Spider Woman and Preying Mantis gave me a feeling that they are waiting for us, holding space for mankind that we may pick up and carry ourselves as who We really are, magnificent and powerful Creators.

Then I saw people walking. I saw the lines of light we create and leave behind ourselves. I saw those lines of light creating webs. I saw that we can intend to heal a weaving around the world with every foot step we take. I felt that we need only be mindful of this ability for it to be effective.

So be it.

A Junco's Spring Come Hither Song

I was privy to a private performance, or so it seemed to me, of a male junco singing his Spring come hither song. My back was to the bird when the song began and immediately my attention was caught by the variety and delicacy of the song. I had no clue as to who sang just this way and turned to scan the leafless wisteria arbor from where the sounds were coming. He seemed so small for such long and fancy song that my eye continued for a moment to look further for another source before settling back on the definitely male junco.

By now moments had passed and he showed no sign of letting up giving my eyes time to see his tiny bird breast heaving in time to his song. On and on he sang an exquisite little ditty unlike any I’ve heard a junco give before. My ears were captive, my eyes riveted. My feelings surged with acknowledgement of my place as witness to a sacred event, and then it was over, he was done. The day resumed it’s heartbeat where it had left off, now sweeter, stronger, brighter than it had been those moments before.

Praise be the junco come hither song, my heart beats a harmony with your song.

The Prayer Shawl Weavings meditation series is so named to honor and incorporate the sacred energy that was accrued through joining together in silent meditation during the 40 weeks of Doulas for Peace meditations in 2007. As our service as Doulas concluded, a call to continue to serve as guardians to the peace we had facilitated was felt in many Vessels of Peace hearts.

With the spring equinox, full moon, and Easter energies supporting us, you are invited to join in the emergence of a new circle of service -- a year-long meditation series beginning on Sunday, March 23, 2008.

It is our intention to be guided by the ways of the first peoples of our sacred home, this planet earth. We begin with the North American continent and its traditions of guidance from Spider Women and of calling in the power of the Four Directions. We start in the east, the place of illumination, spring time and creativity, and as the seasons turn, so will our circle to reflect the energy and teaching of each of the sacred directions.

Spider woman invites you to weave your own journey web. Open yourself to Her inspiration. Draw, write, collage, use found objects - whatever speaks to you. By honoring our own journey we support and honor the emerging consciousness of all humanity. One way to weave your journey web is to draw a web on paper . A 'web map' is a simple, visual way for us to depict the many 'nuggets of wisdom' coming through these calls, whether in meditation or during the sharing of stories and experiences. Each piece of wisdom recorded on our web map or in some other way becomes a precious jewel collected in our personal knowledge web. They are the jewels of our personal and collective talents, gifts, awarenesses, etc., that we have to share with one another. Watching them appear week upon week, is self-affirming, sustaining and supporting. The recording of them also allows us to guard, nurture, and enhance them. Using a creative process can assist us in understanding, and most importantly, grounding Spider Woman's feminine energy, the power of the small, in our lives. Read more »

One part of the Vessels of Peace mission states, "Our purpose is service to Divinity, Humanity, Earth." You are invited to gather in this new circle of service, co-creating the web of connection with Gaia. Please join as many of the calls as you are guided. We also encourage you to invite others to join with us as well. These ongoing Sunday evening teleconference meditations provide all of us with a sustained collective practice to deepen our capacity to hold sacred space as our service to "Divinity, Humanity, Earth."

Our Lady of Enlacement

After recognizing Spider Woman’s offer to act as guide and guardian to this years Vessels of Peace circle of service She began showing up almost everyday. I found a book called in part “Mending the Web”. I saw a spider, the size of a quarter walk across our altar at a woman’s Cedar Circle gathering. Little tiny spiders began dropping out of nowhere to dangle in my view scape even landing on my hand as I typed. Today after following an impulse to do a follow up phone call to an individual I had done an energy treatment for there was a spider sitting on the wall when I put the phone back into it’s cradle. Each and every time She shows up a sense of how sacred each and every tiny moment is comes to me and I am reminded to thank Spider Woman for the guidance.

A little poem called “Our Lady of Enlacement” by Susa Silvermarie was one of the jewels that turned up in the book “Mending the Web” that captures the essence of our awe inspiring guardian.

Our Lady of Enlacement

Every morning

you remake the net

so we can rise and

find the threads in place.

Lady of Enlacement,

without you our stories

could not entwine.

It’s you who web us.

You who sing us into weft.

Nothing can fall

From your cloth.

Did You Know? - The Life of an Eagle

The eagle has the longest life-span of its' species
It can live up to 70 years
But to reach this age, the eagle must make a hard decision
In its' 40's
Its' long and flexible talons can no longer grab prey which serves as food
Its' long and sharp beak becomes bent
Its' old-aged and heavy wings, due to their thick feathers, become stuck to its' chest and make it difficult to fly
Then, the eagle is left with only two options: die or go through a painful process of change which lasts 150 days.
The process requires that the eagle fly to a mountain top and sit on its' nest
There the eagle knocks its' beak against a rock until it plucks it out
After plucking it out, the eagle will wait for a new beak to grow back and then it will pluck out its' talons
When its' new talons grow back, the eagle starts plucking its' old-aged feathers
And after five months, the eagle takes its' famous flight of rebirth and lives for ...30 more years

A NEW LIGHT by LLEWELYN VAUGHAN LEE

A short excerpt from an awesome link...
http://www.workingwithoneness.org/feminine.html

"What life knows about itself reaches far beyond the limits of our current understanding and the scope of our present sciences. When we bring the light of our consciousness into dialogue with the world’s light, we will open ourselves to new realms of knowledge and understanding, to a whole new science of life and light as yet undreamed of, to a whole new range of human possibilities. When we open ourselves fully to life as it really is, we will begin to experience again that life is alive, and that it can communicate with us directly and interact with us in many different dimensions -- not just the physical dimension we now take to be the world, but also the symbolic realms, and the realm of pure consciousness and light, dimensions of magic and wonder and awe that have not been manifest in our world for a long time. When we once again allow life to express its profound intelligence, its playfulness and humor, its delight and its passion, we will find ourselves present in a world that is more dynamic and fluid and full of possibilities in each moment than we could ever believe possible within our current images of life.

JOY
The changes taking place now will bring a new light into the world, a light that is joyful and alive -- and that will challenge us in ways that even the critical challenges of our present world do not. At every step we will encounter resistance, both within ourselves and within the world. For light is demanding. It forces us to face things as they really are. We might well prefer to stay in the shadows of all our desires and fears and inadequacies and all the dramas and conflicts they engender, where we do not have to recognize our real nature or the real nature of life. That recognition -- that within our own consciousness we carry the light of life itself, that life itself is a living being that is coming alive now in a new way and needs us to help it, that the shape of the world to come rests upon the attention and participation we bring to it: that we are the guardians of life of earth -- confers upon us a greater responsibility than we have ever known.

But it is also a tremendous joy. This act of co-creation, this dialogue of our light with the light at the core of creation, is a living, creative relationship that is full of joy. Life as it really is may be demanding, but it is always joyous, because this is the nature of creation: an explosion of love that is continually coming into physical form. Being present in life as it really is means to reclaim joy as a central ingredient to life, an energy and quality of praise that is life’s celebration of its Creator.

The light awakening within life will awaken us to this joy. This is one of its purposes. The interaction of our light with the light of life will remind us of what we have forgotten, that we are here to remember and praise God who has created this wonderful and terrible world, and that our song of praise is central to life. Our prayer and praise are always life’s prayer and praise. We are a central part of the creation worshipping the Creator, of this bond between the Beloved and what He has formed through His love. Without this note of praise and prayer, how can life evolve? The joy we will find in our real, co-creative relationship to life will attune us once again to that note of praise. Then life can reveal its secrets to us; it can show us again how to live."
